The Chinese blockchain BSN project continues its expansion and global presence by branching into Turkey and Uzbekistan. Red Date Technology created the blockchain project, signed an agreement with the Turkish Consultancy company Turkish Chinese Business Matching Center to launch two international portals in Uzbekistan and Turkey by December 2021.
TUSEM was established in 2006 and became a major economic cooperation hub between these two countries. The company will be the exclusive operator for the new BSN portals that are offering blockchain as a service in Uzbekistan and Turkey. The new portals will allow blockcahin developers in the countries to build BaaS applications using the global BSN portal for blockchains like the Ethereum network, Polkadot, Algorand, Tezos, Corda, Consensys, and more. The initiative aims to solve other challenges associated with developing blockchain apps but also enable blockchain interoperability and development costs. The CFO of Red Date Technology Yifan He said:
“Turkey has long played a role as a bridge between Asia and Europe and so it is fitting that the first BSN portal outside of Asia will be launched there.”
Mehmet Akfirat who is the president of TUCEM and head at BSN Turkey said that the Turkish portal will contribute a lot to social development and financial inclusion as both Uzbekistan and Turkey are highly engaged in blockchain development. He said that the BSN doesn’t choose locations for its international portals and said that as long as there are good local partners in regions, they don’t mind where they are. The CEO noted that the BSN does not operate its international portals and said:
“They are all built and operated by our local partners. They own the portals, which leverage BSN infrastructure to build the most powerful BaaS site with little cost.”
BSN launched in Hong Kong and Macau on September 1 which contributed to teh development of more than 30 new blockchain projects, with plans to set up an international BSN portal in South Korea back in November. The BSN also announced more plans to build a universal digital payment network for central bank digital currencies which followed the previous intentions to support stablecoins for various services on the ecosystem. However, according to He, the BSN is not involved in CBDC-related projects anymore.
